Abstract

The fluency of a person’s language is closely related to the vocabulary he has. The more vocabulary you have, the larger the horizon you have. This is where the vocabulary is clearly visible.
In general, the increased vocabulary of school-aged children because of the influence of the surrounding environment, such as getting a lesson in school directly reading, listening to teachers or friends who are talking and others.
Based on the available information, the number and quality of vocabulary of elementary school age children is running rapidly. SD curriculum states that the vocabulary that must be mastered by primary school children is 6,000 words. The vocabulary has been determined based on a certain level, (Class I to VI). But the subject of the determination is not clear so it has not been seen how the relationship between the word one with another word.
Speaking of vocabulary almost always implies meaning. Understanding vocabulary means relating to the potential to recognize the sense contained in the word. Thus the form and meaning of words used in everyday life must be linked to the underlying context.

Abstract

Based on direct observation and assessment, that IPS education is one of the subjects in elementary school that for some students feels boring, less attractive and tend to monotone. IPS education is a very strict subject and in the form of hapalan-hapalan and the scope of the learning is human as a member of society, the symptoms and social problems and events about human life in society. Therefore, students are required to have more full and serious interest to study it.
In the evaluation, the teaching of social studies for students of SDN 03 Padang District of Lengayang Marapalam Academic Year 2015/2016 industrious and keen to learn, they will be easier to work on and solve the problems it faces, and they will be fond of social studies for social studies is not an exact lesson or an exact science that requires a definite answer.
This study is an action research (PTK) using the model Kemmis and MC. Taggart (1988). Which Kemmis developed a model based on a system of self-reflection spiral starts with a plan, action, observation and reflection, for re-planning is the basis for a square – square troubleshooting .
Student achievement SD Negeri 03 Padang District of Lengayang Marapalam Academic Year 2015/2016 class VI is still not satisfactory. This paper has the objective to define and clarify the application of multimedia-based learning media as an attempt to improve learning achievement IPS in SD Negeri 03 Padang Marapalam District of Lengayang in academic year 2015/2016 . This research is a class action ( classroom action research ). In the initial condition (prasiklus) achievement of sixth grade social studies on the competence of the formation of market prices are still low. Of the 27 students who score less than KKM 14 students (53.57%), within the limits of KKM there are 7 students (25%) and exceeded the limits of existing KKM 6 students (21, 43%) with an average grade 66.75.After the action (action) in the first cycle of learning achievement IPS started to increase. The final evaluation of results obtained by the average – average grade 75, 82 with a highest score of 90, the lowest score of 65. Of the 27 students who value under KKM there are 7 students (25%), well above the KKM there are 20 students (71.43%), limit KKM completed there is 1 student (3.57%). Because not meet the minimum of 85% of pupils achieve completeness criteria of at least 72 (seventy-two) it is necessary to follow up with the second cycle. In the second cycle of evaluation results obtained at the end of the lesson learned by the average – average grade 82.11 with a highest score of 100 with the lowest value of 68. This indicates the second cycle of the sixth grade social studies achievement is very satisfactory. During the learning takes place by using multimedia-based learning media, teaching material that students absorb more deeply and fully, in addition, the learning process becomes more interactive, vivid and interesting. Therefore, interactive multimedia-based learning media can be used as an alternative medium of learning to apply in Social Science subjects in schools at both the elementary to university.

Abstract

Basic education aims to provide basic skills to learners to develop their lives as individuals, community members, citizens and members of the human race and prepare learners to follow the next education.
Primary education is organized to develop skills attitudes and provide the basic knowledge and skills necessary to live in communities and prepare learners who are eligible for secondary education (UU Sisdiknas No. 20 Year 2003 article 13).
In teaching and learning activities, a teacher would have hope of desire for learners can get the maximum value possible, in accordance with the learning objectives created or desired but what can be in word, reality. For special mathematics subjects, field findings such as EBTANAS, summative test results and daily test scores and report scores indicate that the learners’ learning outcomes are still below the numbers that may be unsatisfactory in both low and class high.
From some study results and opinions of experts, the low mathematics learning outcomes of students is not because they are not able to perform calculations, but because they do not understand the problems contained in the problem. Hudoyo (in Laily Hasbullah: 2000: 1) states that questions related to numbers are not so difficult for learners, but the problems that use sentences are very difficult for learners who have less or less ability.

Abstract

In the literary learning activities will be realized concretely through the reading and understanding of poetry, novels, short stories, romances, and drama text. The activities of understanding a literary work should be done in earnest so as to train and develop the sensitivity of the mind. While learning Indonesian language directed to improve the ability of students in communicating both orally and in writing and can foster an appreciation of a work of Indonesian literature.
Learning poetry writing will also be able to develop the ability of students of class IX SMP Negeri 1 Painan using Contextual Model (contektual teanching and learning). With the development of contextual model (contexual teanching and learning), it is expected that the students will be more active and creative in learning Indonesian language especially in writing poetry lesson, and improving the quality of students’ learning in terms of finding, finding and solving problems in learning. By actively and creatively breeding in searching for sources and in discussions as problem-solving efforts, students will really understand the learning materials. By mastering the learning materials, it allows them to get the optimal value and in turn the index of his presentation will increase.
The change is one of them by using contextual model (contektual teanching and learning) as an effort to improve the ability to write poetry. Contextual modeling (contextual teanching and learning) is a system that stimulates the brain to construct patterns that embody meaning or a learning system that matches the brain that produces meaning by linking the academic content to the context of the student’s daily life. In order to optimize the learning of the Indonesian language especially for the subject of writing poetry, it is necessary to conduct a classroom action research on “Poetry Writing Learning Through Application of Contextual Learning Model (Contextual Teaching And Learning) for Class IX Students of SMP Negeri 1 Painan Pesisir Selatan Regency”.

Abstract

To be able to learn something well, we need to hear, see, ask questions about it, and speak with others. Not only that, teachers need to “do it”, that is to describe things in their own way, for example, trying to practice skills and doing tasks that demand knowledge they have gained.
The problems studied in this study are: How to improve students’ understanding of the lesson by learning through continuous guidance?
The steps taken in improving the pretation using learning through continuous guidance?.

Abstract

Educational reform is not enough with changes in the curriculum sector, both the structure and the writing procedure. Updating the curriculum will be more meaningful if followed by changes in learning practices inside and outside the classroom. The success of curriculum implementation is strongly influenced by the ability of teachers to apply and actualize the curriculum. Not infrequently the failure of curriculum implementation is caused by the lack of knowledge, skills and ability of teachers in understanding the tasks that must be implemented. This means that the teacher as the executor of the learning activities becomes the key to the implementation of the curriculum in the school.

Abstract

This situation and condition has been going on for quite a while and the school until this moment has not been able to fulfill the means of the disc to sufficient limits or ideal conditions, for example by a ratio of 1: 2 (1 disc for 2 persons). This is understandable, because schools have a lot of needs and almost all have a high level of urgency to meet by the school. So demanding schools to provide discs in accordance with ideal conditions, is unrealistic and can further lead to unfavorable climate and climate in schools.

In mathematics learning, active participation of students and interaction between students and teachers is a very important thing to get good learning outcomes. Based on the results of initial interviews concluded that still encountered some obstacles in teaching and learning activities. Among them the level of students’ understanding of the taught material is still lacking, the interest and motivation to learn the mathematics of students is still low, the students tend to be passive in learning, do not want to ask the teacher. Even to ask friends was reluctant because students who are smart do not want to share with friends. So on this occasion, put forward a learning that is active learning strategy of sharing type of knowledge actively. The purpose of this research is to know how student activity in learning mathematics by using active learning strategy active type of knowledge sharing and to know whether student learning result of mathematics with Using active learning strategies active type of knowledge sharing is better than the result of learning mathematics students without using active learning strategies active type of knowledge sharing. The type of research is experimental research. The design used is Randomized Control Group Only Design. The result of this study is the result of student learning in the cognitive domain obtained through the test of learning achieves the percentage of completeness 86.36%, student activity as a whole is implemented and tends to increase in every meeting. Analysis of final test result data is done using t-test. After t test for hypothesis testing, thount = 2.69, ttable = 1.68, it turns out thount > ttable so that H0 is rejected, thus the result of mathematics learning in students using Active Knowledge Sharing Active Knowledge strategy is better than result Learning of students without using Active Learning Strategy Active Knowledge Sharing type.
